21st October 1977 the battalion advance party moved to Belfast. 27/28th October the battalion main body arrived in Belfast (Springfield/Falls) (Turf Lodge to Lower Falls) from Mercer Barracks, Osnabruck. TAC HQ was based at Springfield Road RUC Station, A Coy in Fort Monagh in Turf Lodge, B Coy at Moyard in the Ballymurphy, Sp. Coy in MacCrory Park in Whiterock and D Coy and Echelon in Mulhouse in the Distillery area took over from 3 LI. 1st March 1978 1 A and SH leave Belfast and return to Mercer Barracks, Osnabruck.
